ABOUT JANET
I grew up barefoot and blue-eyed in the foothills of West Virginia. My family has always been connected to the land and I knew someday I would work with something organic. I attended college, got my masters in art education and fanned the flames of curiosity and creativity of young minds in the public school system for seven years. When I had children of my own, I embraced my new roll all the while seeing the world afresh through their eyes and making sure their hands were always dirty with paints, or playing outside in the dirt. With the launch of Barefoot Balli in 2016 I have once again returned my focus to making a living through the arts. It connects me to people, and my Creator. I find deep satisfaction when my work becomes part of someone else’s story.
